Review

The second story of Season 20 is a follow up to Season 19's Kinda where Tegan was possessed by the Mara. Snakedance is a decent follow up but would have benefitted from a larger budget. it tends to lack the scale that it really needs e.g. the marketplace and desert locations look very studio bound.

The story also gets a bit bogged down when the Doctor gets locked up in prison as it stalls the flow of the story..

Aa with Kinda, this is a good vehicle for Tegan. Martin Clunes is great as well in his first television role.

The story is fine, and quite different to Kinda in tone leavinf much of the paranormal behind. It's not a patch on Kinda but interesting in its own right. You don't need to have seen Kinda to watch this. Oh, and what the hell is Nyssa wearing???
