Review

The first adventure of Season 20 is set on Galifrey and in Amsterdam. It reunites Tegan with The Doctor and Nyssa after she was left behind in Season 19's final serial, Timeflight. The story is by Johnny Byrne who scripted Space 1999 as well as other Who episodes...

The story features the return of Omega, last seem in The Three Doctors. Colin Baker stars as Maxill and will return at the end of the next Season as the new Doctor. Interestingly Maxill shoots the Doctor in one scene.

Apart from the outdoor scenes in Amsterdam, this story is done on the cheap. Omega's Tardis set is tiny as it the Council chamber in Galifrey. Stangely, Tegan fails to regocnise that she is in a Tardis, even though the walls have the classic roundels!

The story is not bad until the end when everyone just runs around interminably. It gets boring and repetitive quickly. Then Omega just gets shot to death by the Doctor which is out of character and not a great ending for the story.
