Season Review
Season 19 is the debut year for Peter Davison as the fifth Doctor. The season starts with the conclusion of the loose three story arc: The Keeper of Traken, Logopolis and Castrovalva . The three stories (the first two from season 18) are a strong trio, but the next story, Four To Doomsday is rather lacking. It's also Peter Davison's first recorded story so the Doctor's character is quite 'off' from what we would see later on.
Kinda is an excellent story but it may be one that you will either love or hate.
The Visitation is also a strong historical with a nice sci-fi twist and some gruesome moments!
Black Orchid is really not a sci-fi story but a straightforward murder mystery.
The penultimate story of the season, Earthshock, sees Adric die heroically and is also a good return story for the Cybermen.
Unfortunately, the last serial, Timeflight, is a bit of a dud with the return of the Master and Concorde disappearing to a different time. It's done on a shoestring and it shows!heroically
Overall a great season only let down by Four To Doomsday and Timeflight.
