Review

The Keeper of Traken is the first part of a trilogy of stories (The Keeper of Traken, Logopolis and Castrovalva) which straddle the end of the Tom Baker era and the start of the Peter Davison era. Keeper also introduces Anthony Ainley as the new Master and Nyssa who would become a full time companion by the end of the season


Guest Stars

Anthony Ainley as The Master who comes back periodically, finally appearing in the last serial of Classic Who, Survival in Season 26.

Sarah Sutton debuts as Nyssa of Traken. Originally she was meant to only appear in this story, but actually becomes a full time companion in the next story Logopolis.

Denis Carey as The Keeper who also appears in other Who stories such as Shada and Timelash.
