Season Review

This season is the last for Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah-Jane Smith who bows out in The Hand of Fear. The following story, The Deadly Assassin, is a first as the Doctor travels without a companion for the first time. The next story introduces Louise Jameson as Leela continuing the strong season with The Face of Evil and followed up with two classics, The Robots of Death and The Talons of Weng-Chiang.

The Collection Review

The Collection Box Set Releases: Season 14 is the seventh The Collection boxset to be released. In fact, as with Season 12, this boxset was so popular that it was quickly reissued after the initial print run. This season is the third  Tom Baker season released in The Collection after Seasons 12 and 18.

The boxset contains 8 disks. There are six serials with The Talons of Weng Chiang taking up two disks. A Bonus features disk rounds out the set.

The cover of the boxset has Tom Baker in Sherlock Holmes style clothing against a London sewer background from The Talons of Weng Chiang. Tom also holds the object that's pivotal in the story in his hand.
