Ah, the infamouse Candy Man story...  I remember this story when it came out as being pretty dreadful. It has aged well though and with the extended edition story, it hangs together better. If you are a child it's probably fairly scary. As an adult it's more comic than creepy though. The animatronic dog has not aged well though.

Performances from Sheila Hancock as Helen A and other members of the Happiness Patrol are great though. And the noir setting comes across very well too. The extended edition adds more to the setting as well.

The story is a bit campy but on the whole, better than it should be!
