Underworld gets a lot of stick, mainly because it heavily relies on bluescreen backgrounds. This was done as in 1977 inflation was rampant in the UK and there was very little budget at the time for the sets. So, bluescreen (also known as CSO) was used instead. And, actually it works reasonably well in hindsight. The main problem with Underworld is its underwhelming story. 'The Quest is The Quest' is used often and even those saying it get tired or start to chuckle about its pompous usage.

There are some good elements to the story for sure. The acting is fine too, but at the end it's just not really exciting. You just know how it's going to end...
